Q. Is it expensive to learn bridge?
Not at all . Compared to many other organized sports , learning bridge involves moderate cost. Moreover, no expenses on equipment or gadgets. All that is needed is a place which can accommodate a few people, a table and a few chairs along with a pack of 52 cards .
Q. How long it takes to learn basics of the game?
By & large, 12 to 14 sessions, each of about 2 to 3 hours, are required for this. This includes theory & practical
Q. How & where can I learn bridge?
A few options :
a) Fill up your name & contact details on ‘ Learn Bridge, Play Bridge ‘ form uploaded on this site. CBA can revert to you with schedule courses
b) Contact any of the ‘ Bridge Education Facilitators ‘ listed in this section
c) Contact franchisee / teachers of CBA’s education programme (to be uploaded & updated soon)
d) Download for free, the ‘ ACBL Education Software ‘ ,by logging on to www.acbl.org , save it on your desktop and you can use it
offline . This should supplement face-to-face learning.
Q. After basic learning , what next ?
Find a bridge game amongst friends , local bridge clubs
Watch experienced players playing whenever possible
Read bridge books meant for Beginners
